It is crucial to feed your dog a well balanced diet that provides enough nutrients and energy to ensure a happy, healthy dog. Your dog’s diet is just as important as your own diet, and should consist of the proper amounts of the following:
protein: which helps with growth and maintenance
fat: for vibrant skin and coat
vitamins and minerals: for developing bones
fiber: helps with digestion
Just as with a human’s diet, there are certain requirements of nutrients for dogs; and dog food manufacturers have made their food to meet these specifications. As a result, many of the commercial dog food provide a well balanced, healthy and high quality diet. Usually, it is not necessary to use vitamin supplements, unless it’s the doctor’s orders! Your dog is most likely getting all the vitamins he needs from his dog food; and too many vitamins can lead to some health problems. Keep your pup happy AND healthy!!

We understand that you may not always have time to take your dog to get groomed, but here are some great tips about washing your pooch. Saving time and money is vital, and who knows, maybe you’ll even get some extra time to get some shopping in! Before you bathe the dog, lay out a blanket on the bathroom floor, two towels by the tub, pet shampoo, conditioner, and a washcloth in the shower or tub. It may also be helpful to have a brush, comb and trash bag (for shedding) nearby. Once you begin washing, remember to wash his/her face with a washcloth, because pouring lots of water over the face can lead to too much water in the dog’s ears, which isn’t good. Try to keep the shampoo out of his eyes, and apply conditioner if there are lots of tangles, or you just want a nice shiny silky coat! Dry your dog off as much as possible with the towels, and now you have a clean dog!

Did you know that pets are about a $40 billion dollar industry per year? Read further to find out how to save money, without having to drastically change your dog’s lifestyle. As we all know, pedicures can be quite expensive, and sometimes we just have to break out our own clippers and do our toes; the same goes for your little fluffy ones! Instead of taking your dog to get their toenails clipped, clip them yourself, and it will save you anywhere from $10 to $15. Also, brush your dog’s teeth yourself, it can save you a trip to the dentist, and about $250. Don’t be afraid to ask for coupons either, it’s time to save, save, save. It may also be helpful to find a community vet clinic, to cut costs as well. Hope these tips have been helpful with cutting costs for your beloved pet.

With so many ways to train your dog, you could get confused as to what works and what doesn’t. Just like a child, positive reinforcement is the key to training man’s best friend. All dogs have the capability to be trained, but for better and more effective results, you should start young. You should also be more kind, loving, and gentle with your dog. Most dogs do develop a real attachment to their owners. Any dog that is loved by his/her owner is more likely to trust them and ultimately become more responsive to training techniques. Make your sessions more fun for your dog, so that they seem like exercise, rather than punishment. It could also be a way to motivate you to get the total body workout. Lastly, you always want to be conscious of your dog’s behavior, and prevent mistakes before they happen. It may not always be good to reinforce after the problem has already occurred. Good luck!

The Holiday season, while fun and exciting, can also be very stressful. In addition to you maintaining healthy eating habits, it’s also important to keep your pets healthy. Trying to juggle the family members and the children, and of course the pets is a tough job! Most of the time people forget that their pets are even near, because they’re so focused on cooking, decorating, and making their home fun, warm, and cozy for their guests. Try to maintain your daily routine with your pets, which includes feeding them at their usual time, playing, and bathing. Making sure your animals are happy is very important; it can prevent them from becoming too curious about the scintillating smell of turkey, dressing, and sweet potatoes, and you a trip to the vet!

If you are like most regular women, then you have had problems trying to get rid of you little pooch; by that I mean your stomach. In a recent poll, 76% of women complain of having problems loosing weight around their stomach area. It can be very difficult and is often very discouraging, especially when we are blasted with images of celebrities with the perfect waist.
However, there are two things you can do to assist on your road to a flat stomach. The first is to get rid of all the extra digestive waste in your body. When your digestive track is clogged, it often makes your stomach appear bloated, adding extra inches to your waste line. To get rid of the bodily waste in your colon, try Dual Action Cleanse. It will provide you with the results you need, without the expense of a professional colonic.
In addition, try changing your diet. A healthy diet of the right foods can make all the difference in you waist line. It’s a shame that no one ever tells you that no matter how many crunches you do, if you don’t eat right it won’t matter! With a meal replacement diet plan like Medifast, though, you can eat the right foods without having to worry about cooking. The meals come prepared already and are tasty. Try these two things and you’ll be surprised to see the results!
